Have a question about warranties?
Warranty - Frequently Asked Questions
Please see below for answers to common questions from customers
How long does the process take?
Once we submit your claim, it typically takes 2 to 6 weeks to receive a resolution. This depends on the brand's current volume and the time of year (January is usually the busiest). We will notify you the moment we receive an update from them.
Do I need my receipt?
Yes. Manufacturers require a "Proof of Purchase" from an authorized dealer to verify the warranty period (usually 1–2 years from purchase). If you bought it from us, we can usually look up your transaction in our system, but having your physical or digital receipt speeds up the process significantly.
Who pays for shipping?
In most cases, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item to the manufacturer for inspection. If the warranty is approved, many brands will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced item back to the shop or your home.
I bought it from Ski Pro; why can't you just swap it for a new one?
As a retailer, we act as the middleman. We do not "own" the warranty—the brand that made the product does. They require us to submit a formal claim with photos and descriptions so their technicians can determine if the failure was a defect. We cannot provide a replacement until the manufacturer officially approves the claim.
If my gear is fixable, will they give me a new pair or just repair it?
Manufacturers prioritize repair over replacement. If their technicians can safely and professionally repair a delamination or a base issue, they will do so and ship the original item back to us. A full replacement only happens if the item is deemed "unserviceable."
Can I just fix it myself and have them pay for the shop labor?
No. Almost all manufacturer warranties are voided if you (or a third-party shop) attempt a "home repair" before the claim is filed. If you want the brand to cover it, they must be the ones to perform or authorize the repair.
How does a "Lifetime Warranty" work?
Several products come with a life time warranty, but what does that actually mean? A "Lifetime Warranty" does not mean the warranty is good for your whole life. That warranty covers the reasonable expected lifespan of the given product.
